AzitronitBroad-Spectrum Azithromycin-Based Antibiotic Description:Azitronit is a highly effective and safe azithromycin-based antibiotic designed to treat and prevent respiratory, gastrointestinal, and other infections in livestock animals. Azitronit is a clear, colorless to yellow liquid, available in 100 mL glass bottles sealed with rubber stoppers, flip-off caps, and tamper-evident clips. Composition:Each 1 mL of Azitronit contains 100 mg of azithromycin. Pharmacological Properties:Azithromycin, a macrolide antibiotic from the azalides subgroup, provides bactericidal and bacteriostatic effects against a broad spectrum of pathogens, including: Gram-negative bacteria: Actinobacillus lignieresi Haemophilus spp. Moraxella spp. Bordetella spp. Campylobacter spp. Legionella pneumophila Salmonella spp. Escherichia spp. Pasteurella (Mannheimia) haemolytica Pasteurella multocida Haemophilus parasuis Gram-positive bacteria: Listeria spp. Staphylococcus aureus Streptococcus spp. Streptococcus pneumoniae Streptococcus pyogenes Enterococcus faecalis Erysipelothrix insidiosa Anaerobic bacteria: Clostridium perfringens Fusobacterium spp. Other pathogens: Mycoplasma pneumoniae Chlamydia pneumoniae Borrelia spp. Mode of Action:Azithromycin inhibits protein biosynthesis by disrupting peptide bond formation in bacterial ribosomes. This leads to a breakdown of the peptide chain and persistent inhibition of bacterial activity, even after short-term contact. The drug induces irreversible changes in the ribosome, blocking translocation and enhancing the antibacterial effect until the bacteria synthesize new functional proteins. Indications:Azitronit is prescribed for cattle, sheep, and pigs to treat bacterial infections of the respiratory, gastrointestinal, and genito-urinary systems. It is also effective for skin and soft tissue infections caused by azithromycin-sensitive microorganisms, including: Necrobacillosis Pigs erysipelas Spirochetosis Mycoplasmal infections Dosage and Route of Administration: Animal Species: Cattle, sheep Dosage: 1 mL per 20 kg body weight Route: Intramuscular injection Frequency: Administer once every 24 hours for 2 days.
