Masculinity Patterns 671437

What does it mean to be a man? What is the reason for allocating a collective author to study different types of masculinity: traditional dominant masculinity, excessively dominant masculinity, broken masculinity, and normative masculinity...? The matter is not due to an obsession with Western terminology, which some of them turn into a mere “fashion”. Rather, it is an interest in my research field: Masculinity studies and masculinity studies have witnessed an important development, especially in the last two decades, as studies, research and collective writings appeared (Book 12 of Lebanese female researchers 2006-2008, Abdel Samad Al-Dailami, May Ghossoub, Amal Grami,...) is concerned with forms of building masculinities in the "Arab world" and analyzes the tests that men go through from early childhood until old age, and dismantles social representations, symbols, and perceptions produced by society... This author is an attempt to understand patterns of manhood that the group insists on obscuring or excluding because it does not reflect the paradigm or standards defining 'complete' manhood and does not express the prevailing normative values.
