The aftermath of a tragic love affair, told through three letters addressed to the same man by three different women: first Shoko, who discovers the affair by reading her mother's diary, and then Midori, who has long been aware of her husband's affair with Saeko. And finally, Seiko itself. A "shotgun" is a perfect example of brevity. In a swing between the declared and the implicit, reaching a tight balance, the romantic game suspended by a very fine thread is reflected, which connects the destinies of the four heroes - the man and the three women - and accompanies them over the years without harming the quiet rituals in their lives. Nevertheless, the novel boils with constant tension, restraint and muffled anger that does not explode even at the end, when every lie is revealed, every emotion is completed, and we realize that every person has a secret life, the essence of which we will not reach.
