Composition: Albendazole: 2500 mg per bolus Spectrum: Albendazole is a benzimidazole anthelmintic effective against: Nematodes: Most species including Haemonchus, Ostertagia, Trichostrongylus, Nematodirus, Cooperia, Bunostomum, Oesophagostomum, Chabertia, Strongyloides (larval and adult stages). Lungworms: Dictyocaulus spp. Tapeworms: Monezia expansa. Trematodes: Fasciola hepatica (adult liver fluke). Indications: Treatment of helminth infections in cattle, goats, and sheep caused by organisms susceptible to albendazole. Contraindications: Not to be used in: Ewes and cattle during the first 45 days of pregnancy. Lactating animals producing milk for human consumption. Side-effects: None reported when used at recommended therapeutic doses. Dosage and Administration: For oral administration. General dose: 7.5 mg albendazole per kg of body weight (1 bolus per 250 kg body weight). For liver flukes: 10-15 mg albendazole per kg of body weight. Withdrawal Time: Meat: 12 days.
