Agiolax is a plant-based granule preparation containing ispaghula seed, ispaghula husk, and Tinnevelly senna pods designed to regulate bowel function naturally. Each 250g container provides a gentle yet effective solution for acute and chronic constipation. The product contains natural ingredients in specific proportions: 2.60g ispaghula seed, 0.11g ispaghula husk, and 0.34-0.66g Tinnevelly senna pods (equivalent to 15mg hydroxyanthracene derivatives as sennoside B) per 5g dose (1 teaspoonful). It works through vegetable mucilages that swell with water to produce a soft, easily passed stool. The product is particularly suitable for bowel regulation in pregnant women and post-partum patients, helping ensure painless evacuation in cases of hemorrhoids.
