Levocabastine nasal spray belongs to the family of medications called antihistamines. It is used to treat symptoms associated with allergic rhinitis such as sneezing, itchy nose, and runny nose. Levocabastine works by blocking the body's response to allergens (substances that a person may be allergic to). Levocabastine nasal spray starts to work within 10 minutes of spraying the nose. The recommended dose for adults and children 12 years of age and over is 2 sprays in each nostril two times daily. If necessary, your doctor may increase the dose to 2 sprays in each nostril 3 to 4 times daily. If there is no improvement after 3 days, call your doctor. Shake the bottle of levocabastine nasal spray before each use. Before using the nasal spray for the first time, pump it a few times in the air away from your body until a fine spray appears.
