Mexo Iodine Tincture USP is an antiseptic solution containing 2.0% iodine and 2.4% sodium iodide in a 44% alcohol base. It is used for disinfecting minor cuts, scrapes and wounds to prevent infection. This is a topical antiseptic solution that should only be applied externally to clean, minor wounds. The product contains alcohol as a solvent and should be kept away from heat sources. The 30ml bottle comes with a white screw cap for secure storage. As with all iodine products, it may temporarily stain skin and clothing.
